About TurfCalc.au

TurfCalc.au is a free tool that helps Australian homeowners, landscapers and tradespeople work out exactly how much turf a lawn needs — in square metres, pallets and dollars.

New lawns are one of the easiest home projects to get wrong at the ordering stage. Order too little and you're stuck mid-job waiting on turf that has to be laid fresh; order too much and you've paid for grass that ends up on the nature strip. We built this calculator to take the guesswork out of that first, crucial step.

The calculator handles the shapes real yards actually come in — rectangles, curves and awkward corners — applies a sensible wastage margin, and converts everything into the numbers you need to place an order with confidence.
